Auto Accident Tips

This week, Matt discusses an article from Grange Insurance containing tips on what to do when you’re involved in an auto accident. Matt’s suggestion is to take photos right off the bat before you move the vehicles. This will help the insurance adjuster see the placement of the vehicles at the time of the accident. He also suggests turning in 2 reports if the accident happens in a parking lot. File a report with the store/owner of the parking lot and also with the local police/sheriff. The authorities will not (in most cases) come out to an accident in a private parking lot.

Condos, Condos, Condos

This week Matt shared an article about 10 things to consider when it comes to insuring your condominium. Many who purchase condos think that they are responsible for their personal property and liability only since the association owns the condo building. This is incorrect in most cases. Condo owners do have some unique insurance challenges, but with a hometown insurance agent they can overcome them.

Drones! Drones! Drones!

This week we talked about drones (or Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) and how to best cover them.

The FAA has required all drone operators to register their drones if they meet certain criteria, you can read about it HERE.

Matt found this article helpful in finding out more when it comes to covering your drone.

We at Marsilje & Vander Plow do have access to a carrier that will write drones (UAS/UAV) used for some commercial purposes.
